The Delaware Valley Chinese Crested Club, Inc. was founded in March of 1986 by a growing group of Chinese Crested enthusiasts in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania area. From 1986 to 1990 the DVCCC held Specialty Dog Shows within the realm of Rare Breed Dog Shows, with participation in one of the Premier Rare Breed Dog Shows in the Country; The Hudson Valley Rare Breed Association. We became a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation on November 14, 1990 spearheading our desire to become one of the first Chinese Crested Clubs to seek American Kennel Club approval. From 1991 to 1992 the DVCCC held B-OB & A-OA Match Shows, which are requirements of Clubs seeking AKC approval to become a Member Club. In April of 1993 the American Kennel Club accepted the DVCCC as a Licensed Club granting us the privilege to host our very first AKC Specialty Show & Obedience Trial in June of 1993 in Trevose, Pennsylvania. We currently hold back-to-back Independent Chinese Crested Specialty Shows & Obedience/Rally Trials on the 6th AKC Dog Show weekend of the year (2nd weekend of March) in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania. We are the only Regional Chinese Crested Club to offer Independent Specialty Shows as well as the only Regional Chinese Crested Club to offer Obedience/Rally Trials.
